Lawrence Ferlinghetti is a poet and publisher. As a publisher he was one the first people to publish the work of “Beat Poets,” Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg.  Along with running the City Lights Book Store, he regularly paints and is the Poet Laureate of San Francisco.
