Buck O’Neil was a first baseman and manager for the Negro Leagues. He was also a scout and manager for Major League Baseball. He received numerous awards for scouting and the advancement of civil rights.   His lifetime batting average was .288.  Mr. O'Neil passed away  October 6th 2006, shortly after filling out this card.
